Youth High Point
At the beginning of the year, the incoming T.W.H.A.C. Board of Directors will review all existing policies and practices relevant to T.W.H.A.C. Youth High Point Program and Youth High Point Awards for the upcoming show year. Any changes approved by the Board will take effect immediately.
The T.W.H.A.C. Board of Directors will appoint a current Board Member to serve as Director of the Youth Program for the year. At the beginning of the show year, the incoming T.W.H.A.C Board of Directors will establish a budget for the T.W.H.A.C Youth High Point Awards.
In order to earn points towards T.W.H.A.C Youth High Point Award the participants must:
- Be a current youth member in good standing of T.W.H.A.C., with all dues and other fees paid in full.
- Earn at least ten (10) Horse Show Service Points from T.W.H.A.C horseshows
- Earn at least ten (10) Community Service Points
- Earn at least ten (10) Fundraiser Points for T.W.H.A.C fundraising events.
Points will be awarded in the following manner:
- Horse Show Points - Youth member will receive one (1) point for every horse they place higher than in the class. There will be a maximum of the (10) points awarded per rider/ per class. In the event of a one horse class, two (2) points will be awarded.
- Horse Show Service Points - Youth member will receive two (2) points for every hour they volunteer their services to the horse show manager.
- Community Service Points - Youth member will receive two (2) points for every hour they volunteer their services to their community, e.g. Church groups, community clean ups, various shelters, work with handicapped or disabled individuals, nursing homes.
- Fundraiser Points - Fundraiser point accruals will be predetermined by the Youth Director. Determination of points will be based on difficulty and time requirements of the fundraising activity.
Point documentation is to be made on the appropriate TWHAC Youth Point Sheet, which can be obtained from the Youth Director or download them below.

It is the responsibility of the participating youth to submit their Point Sheet to the Youth Group Director monthly. The Youth Group Director will maintain the point records.
The Youth Group Director will maintain the records of awarded points. Based upon the Youth Group Awards budget, the Youth Director will make a recommendation to the T.W.H.A.C Board of Directors for their approval, the value of each of the three (3) pointed awards.
At the T.W.H.A.C Year-End Award, the youth with the highest number of points will be awarded 1st place. The youth with the second highest number of awards 2nd place. The youth with the third highest number of points will be awarded 3rd place.
All youth members are eligible for a Participation Award. Participation Awards for youth members will be determined by the Youth Director utilizing funds from the Youth Awards budget.
